PRODUCTION
ASSIGNMENT
With
your group, you will develop a 30 second Public Service Announcement
for teens.
- Brainstorm
ideas for a creative approach to your PSA. Your PSA must be original,
it may not be a duplicate of an existing Public Service Announcement.
- Your
PSA should include some facts about how the media affects teens
in your field, as well as providing a creative and useful tool
to educate teens about media viewing.
Remember,
your goal is to encourage teens to become a critical media
viewer in your field.
- Write
a script for your PSA.
- Assign
production roles, including actors and voices.
- Create
a specific storyboard for your PSA. You should include all necessary
details, including video, sound and timing for the entire production.
- Turn
in the storyboard to your teacher.
- After
your storyboard has been approved, sign up for a production date.
- Produce
and edit your PSA. Refer to your notes &/or textbook regarding
television production as needed.
