1. Research on the Web information about insects common to your state.
2. Decide as a team which insect should be the state symbol.
3. Prepare a trifold brochure or multi-media presentaton of information about your insect following specific guidelines on a scoring guide.
4. As a team, draft an official letter on school letterhead recommending a proposal to adopt your insect as an official state symbol.
5. Present your information to the other teams and any other audience you wish to persuade.
