This WebQuest is designed for the purpose of allowing high school students to investigate possible consequences to their choices regarding education. Today's job market is very competitive. A high school diploma earned today will not lead to the same jobs as forty years ago. Many of today's high tech jobs were not even available ten or twenty years ago. Those that were available, were not as in hgh demand as in todays job market.
On average, a high school dropout will earn more than $200,000 less than a high school graduate, and more than $800,000 less than a college graduate over a lifetime.
During this WebQuest, students can explore expectations of life after high school depending on their choice to quit school before graduation, graduate but not go to college, graduate with some additional training, or graduate from college.
Students can also investigate reports that calculate chosen occupations and projected income in accordance with the different levels of educaton.
