Hatching . . .

To begin your WebQuest, read the book Chickens Aren't the Only Ones by Ruth Heller or click here to find out about the different types of animals that lay eggs.

Before you start the learning, choose a partner. Each of you must make a blank book with 6 - 8 pages and a front and back cover. You will need to have space on each page for a drawing and some writing. On the cover, write the title: Animals That Lay Eggs and your name.

Now, you are ready to click on the different kinds of oviparous (egg laying) animals on the yellow bar.

After you learn about each kind of animal, draw a picture of the animal and write 3 - 5 facts about it in your book.

When you have learned about all the different animals and your book is complete, share it with your partner.
