One of Mr. Prael's students modeled her podcast after the National Public Radio program, “This American Life.” She created a multi-sectional episode centered on a single theme. The student’s “broadcast” was to incorporate personal anecdotes, interpreted interviews, an edited interview, and the recounting of a work of fiction. This project culminated the student’s readings of Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood, and select observations of author Studs Terkel from the books Working, The Great War, and The Great Divide.
