Thomas Paine effect the lives of people around him by his personality and the opinions he had. Paine was loved by some and hated by some.

Paine is know as a man who made many contributions to america, and he never asked for anything in return.

Paine had many good political ideas that were supported by the people. During1776 , he published a pamphlet called, "Common Sense". The pamphlet demanded complete independence from Great Brittan and the establishment of a strong federal union. Paine also published other pamphlets. Paine words helped soldiers with hard times during the war. Paine went to France and became a French citizen. He published pamphlets and was tried for treason. He weat to prison. He than wrote about his views on religion.
