The Metric System

By Shyla

The Metric System was handed down mainly from the Babylonians, Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. The Metric System mostly deals with Math and Science because it deals with the decimal system and measuring weights. It was considered a simpler form of measurement because there are 7 different types of measurement. The unit of length uses the meter. The unit of electric current is the ampere. The unit of mass is the kilogram. The unit of light intensity is the candela. The unit of temperature is the kelvin. The unit of substance amount is the mole. All the other units come from these units.
