Johannes Kepler

My report is the great Johannes Kepler. Johannes

Kepler was born in 1571 and died in 1630. He taught many different things on the planetary motion. We are doing this in Mrs. Kreitman's Math class. Johannes Kepler discovered many of the earth's laws that have to do with the orbit and the planets. Kepler's first law was that all the planets move around the sun in the elliptical orbit with the sun at one foci.

In the elliptical orbit the distance between the planet

and the sun. Also it is continuously varying.

His second law he made was about the mathematics he has discovered. The following is that law which he stated.

The third law which the passed was similar;as to the second law he made. The following is the third law. This law he called the harmonic law.

P2 proportional A3

In the above P is the orbital period measured in years and the A above stands for the semi major axis measured in A.U (Astromic Unit). (the distance from the earth to the sun)

The empiral expression set the scale of the solar system.
