Flutter

By Miranda

In the time of ancient Greece, there once was a young woman named Catamon. She was a beautiful nymph who had a passion for animals, but her favorite of all was the butterfly. She wasn't as nice to other nymphs though. To other nymphs she was mean and she talked about other nymphs badly.

One nymph, Pillarch, fell in love with Catamon at first sight and he proposed to her with a butterfly ring, but she was disgusted when he did this and she left him heartbroken. After he left, Catamon kept the ring and put it on. At this time Aphrodite, the love goddess, was already upset. So when Catamon put the ring on her and Pillarch both turned in to monarch caterpillars and butterflies, but if Catamon refused to be with him she would be alone, because the stench of the monarch was unlovable to others unlike themselves.
