How Zebras Got Their Stripes
By Erik

One day in 250 B.C., Zeus planned to make a park for the gods and goddesses so that they can just lounge around the whole day. Zeus put many animals in the park like white horses and many different types of birds. Also Zeus made a bench just for him to sit in. After the bench had been freshly painted, one white horse went by the bench and sat on it, and then he had black stripes all over his body. The white horse felt dumb because of what he had done to himself, so he told all the white horses that it was new religious wear. So all the white horses painted themselves with black stripes.
