Once long ago there was a caterpillar named Katy. Katy was a friend to all. She helped the animals in any way she could Even the biggest animals looked up to her. All of the animals think of her as their hero. But one day the ants came and raided all of their food and homes. She came up with the best plan of scaring them with the big animals, and then Katy and her sisters would make a long gate to lead the ants where they belong.

But Katy became sad of how defenseless she and her sisters were. Katy wished she had color like the sun and grace of the eagle. Apollo always heard of Katy's good deeds and her heroic tales. So Apollo thought, she has done more than I could dream a caterpillar could do. So he went to Earth and gave Katy and her sisters a bed to dream of what their gift was. It was colorful wings to help as they always did. So now when you see butterflies, think of Katy.
