Zeus and his wife Hera were getting complaints about how cold it was in the village. So he thought of god Hephaestus, the god of fire. He told his son Apollo to go and get Hephaestus to come immediately. Apollo did as his father said. When Hephaestus arrived Zeus told him about the village people's complaints about how there wasn't any fire in the village to keep warm. He asked Hephaestus to give each village family fire to keep them warm in the cold days.
Hephaestus got his wood and matches and begin to start his work that very day. When Hephaestus started his work he was getting cold even though he had his big woolen coat on. He's been gone so long he forgot how cold it could get in the village. Hephaetus was starting to get tired, he was only done with half of the village that day.
So he would come back to do the other side the following day. He arrived to Zeus' temple and was served a great meal, he also had a nice room to sleep in that night.
Early the next morning Zeus got an complaint how fire wasn't a good idea of keeping warm. It will only burn down the houses. The complaint came from the Burnette family who lived deep in the village.
Zeus decided that if fire couldn't solve it then what will . There was nothing else to solve that problem especially in the village. Zeus was so angry that he send his army deep in the village to kill the Burnette family. They were burned to ashes. When everyone had heard about the death of the Burnette family, they were stunned and angry. They thought Zeus was being so unfair. Zeus told the village to mind their own village or the same shall be done to them.
As Hephaestus worked that day he thought Zeus was so stupid of doing such a horrible thing. He thought something should be done, but he knew he couldn't do anything cruel to the king of all gods. He finished his work that day quietly. When he was halfway done with the deep part of the village, Apollo came to tell him that he father was saddened about what he had done and decided if Hephaestus did such a good job he would bring the Burnette family back to life. Hephaestus jumped with joy and you wouldn't believe how fast he finished that village making sure he was careful do it right.
When he arrived to the temple with a smile on his face, Zeus called him into his room. He told him what a good report he had gotten from the village. He opened a box and what seemed to be in there was a necklace, but on the necklace was an symbol of fire. He handed it to Hephaestus. Next he took a jar that was full with the ashes of the Burnette family and took his sword and pointed it toward the jar. The ashes became people and those people were the Burnette family .
The Burnette family had no idea what had happened, but they went home to a warm house, and everyone lived happily ever after.
