One day Justin fell in love with Brittany. He wanted to give her something special to show his love for her. So he, as any other person would, asked Aphrodite for help. He asked for a great gift, something that came from the heart. Aphrodite knew this was true love and she wanted to help. Zeus was unhappy about this gift because then people could show love to each other and not just the gods! Also he admired Brittany. Aphrodite knew that this was not love at all, but vain and greed. She still helped Justin, for Brittany truly loved Justin and honored Zeus as a god and nothing else. Aphrodite then created the most beautiful flower ever. She made the flower red because it came from the heart. Aphrodite then had Hermes take the beautiful flower down to Justin. Aphrodite let Hermes pick the name for the beautiful flower. Hermes chose rose, because it made him feel happy and raised his spirits! Zeus was very upset by this and still loved Brittany. So Zeus set a curse on the beautiful flower. It would look beautiful but hurt when you touched it. To do this Zeus put thorns on the roses' stems. Aphrodite found this out and punished Zeus by making him love everyone he sees, but his heart is broken when they leave. He loved the flower for Brittany, and thought the name rose was beautiful for such a perfect flower. He praised and thanked Aphrodite for the rose. Brittany fell in love with Justin. She named her first born girl Rose, for the flower that made her fall in love with Justin.
