Apollo is the twin brother of Artemis and the god of the sun. Apollo and Artemis used to get along fine. Then Artemis realized that Apollo was a better god then she was. So then they got in a big fight and after a while they stopped talking to each other. After a while Artemis decided to solve both her problems at once. Since she thought it wasn't bright enough at night, she used her powers and zapped one of the other planets' moons and took it to the Earth.
Apollo got really mad because everyone slept during the day so they could see how beautiful the moon was at night. No one was awake during the day so they could see how beautiful the moon was at night and no one was awake during the day to look at the sun anymore. One night when Artemis wasn't expecting, it Apollo went to the moon. He snuck up very quietly so know one would hear him and put some poison in the glass that Artemis would drink out of. She wasn't going to drink it at first, but she was really thirsty. The poison didn't do anything to her at all.
However, Artemis could taste it and kind of see it. Then she saw Apollo and pushed him into a huge crater and he fell head first into the dust of the moon. That's why sometimes when you look at the moon you see a face.
