Hermes Trick

Hermes is a very tricky god at times and one day he tricked a little too much. Zeus was on a trip to the other side of Earth that he usually doesn't go to. Hermes decided that this would be a good chance for him to play a trick on someone. He decided to play his trick on Hades and tell him that Zeus was dead. When he told Hades, Hades became very happy and rose to the surface. He started destroying everything he saw. This wasn't part of Hermes' trick.

A few minutes later Zeus could feel that something was wrong on the other side of the Earth. He rushed to the other side of the Earth and saw Hades destroying everything, so Zeus threw his lightning bolts at him. Hades saw Zeus and rushed to the underworld. Hades feeling very angry that he had been tricked, started shaking the whole Earth. Demeter, the mother of Persephone, saw the Earth was starting to crumble, so Demeter rushed to the underworld and told Persephone to calm Hades down. Persephone calmed Hades down and the Earth was saved. But for poor Hermes, Zeus had figured out that Hermes was the one who had tricked Hades to come to the surface, so Hermes was banished from telling tricks for 5000 years. For millenniums later Hades would always shake the Earth in remembrance of Hermes tricking him.
