It was a beautiful day. A day the a little girl, Sarah, was to be born. Justin, her father, was planning to hold a wonderful festival in her honor. Everyone was waiting until day reached its peak to see this beautiful baby.
Time had passed and little Sarah was born. When everyone saw the baby, they stood in amazement. Her father was in shame to see this ugly baby. Right then Justin swore that Sarah would never leave that house. Then Justin immediately canceled the festival.
From then on, Justin was horrible to Sarah. He always made fun of her, called her names, and treated her like dirt.
It was Sarah's sixteenth birthday and her mom had given her a dress that she had made just for Sarah. Justin , on the other hand, was planning to kill Sarah. It was dark and Sarah was asleep. Just then, Sarah suddenly awoke from her sleep. She was in the arms of Justin ! She screamed out in horror. Justin took her outside and started to put her into the well. He told her that she was to drown. Sarah's mom came running outside to find her daughter dead !
Suddenly the earth shook and Aphrodite, goddess of beauty, with Zeus, god of all gods, appeared before them. Aphrodite explained to Justin that he had offended beauty by hating his daughter. Aphrodite sentenced him to being the dirt on the ground, the lowest of them all. Quickly, Sarah arose from the well and was alive again. Aphrodite told her that she was beautiful and turned her into a rose with thorns to protect her. Then Zeus stepped in and comforted the mom. He told her that Sarah would always be with her right in her garden. And with that all was well.
