Back in the days of gods and goddesses, humans, plants, and animals, there was a dead human soul named Mirage. Mirage was part of a crew called the Cruel Crew. The Cruel Crew had five people in it. All these people were souls of the Underworld. All these souls were bad and did bad things. The leader of the Cruel Crew was Hades; which was also the leader of the Underworld. Mirage never did really, really bad things, but she loved to trick people. Her favorite was to make people think that they see something, but all of the sudden the object that they thought they saw, disappears. The god, King Kind, and the goddess, Loyal, were husband and wife. They didn't really like what the Cruel Crew did to the humans on Earth. King Kind and Loyal were both very, very nice. Whenever Mirage would do one of her tricks, King Kind and Loyal would do whatever they could to make it go away. But whatever they tried wouldn't work. They tried to make it go away, because Mirage played her little trick so often that it made people think that they were going crazy, but of course they weren't.

Meanwhile, King Kind and Loyal were getting even angrier. They wanted to put the Cruel Crew to a stop. Unfortunately they had already tried to do that a while back. They had to go to Mount Olympus Court to settle their argument. Zeus was the judge and he said that the Cruel Crew was free to do whatever they wanted to do. He said that because what they were arguing over wasn't that severe, but this time it was worse. The reason that it was worse was because the other members of the Cruel Crew were doing really bad things, such as luring people into traps and taking them to the underworld to live there forever. So they went back to Zeus and told him what was happening. He was furious.

Well while this was happening up on Mount Olympus, one of the souls were sneaking around up there planning to do one of his horrible tricks, when he overheard about Zeus wanting to destroy the souls forever and banning Hades from ever coming up on Earth again. So the soul went down to the underworld and told the news to Hades.

Then when Zeus, King Kind, and Loyal went down to the underworld to get the five souls and Hades, they were gone. So after months of searching, they met a human who had heard about where the Cruel Crew was hiding. They got the information from the human and went to hunt down the Cruel Crew. When they finally found them, they took Hades back down to the underworld and destroyed the souls, permanently.

The weird thing is that they only found four souls. They never found Mirage because she happened to be out gathering food when the others were captured. So she still wanders around, playing her trick on people, known today as the mirage.
