THE NEW CREATION, THE CONSCIENCE

Hephaestus, one day being tired with nothing to do is the real reason why the conscience came.

Hephaestus, who was the smith god, decided to build something. He wanted to build something new that looked like the gods. His first try, the Diads, were a deep disappointment. They were nice looking but were so evil they would even try to kill one another.

They were a disappointment, but he had not the heart to destroy them so he let them go on Earth. Even though he already made one mistake he tried again to make something like the gods. At first his creation, the Aztecs also looked like a disappointment. They were very ugly hairy beasts, but were kind and generous. Hephaestus let the Aztecs go too, which was was not the best idea.

For a while all was well. Aztecs gave rich things to the gods to worship and honor them. Then, as soon as the evil Diads figured out where the Aztecs were they attacked them. These evil creatures, the Diads, loved to watch the Aztecs suffer with pain, so many were left alive but were not very well off.

Zeus one day noticed that there were not as many Aztec worshipers as there had been. This made Zeus angry so he went to Hephaestus and demanded that the Diads be killed. Hephaestus did not want this. Then he thought up another solution, take one Diad and one Aztec and smash them together.

This is why beauty is not always good. This is also why where good goes evil will always follow, because one could never survive without the other.
