How Zeus Became King of the Gods

Once upon a time on Mt. Olympus there two were Titans named Uranus and Gaea. They were the kings and the creators of the Earth. They had a son named Zeus. When Zeus got older, he was always mad. But when he was with Hera he was as happy as a butterfly. He always dreamed of taking the place of his parents. When Zeus got married to Hera he made a plan to take over the throne. About 500 years after the Earth was born, Zeus decided to kill his parents. One night Zeus' parents were asleep. Zeus took a sword and chopped off his parents' heads, he then disposed of the bodies. When he became king of the gods Zeus collected more gods and gave them special gifts. He made Poseidon his brother, the king of the sea. He made his other brother Hades, the king of the underworld, and he made Hermes the god of messengers. After 605 years, Zeus became bored so he sent 20 gods to make humans and animals. When they were done making humans and animals, Zeus sent two more gods to give them gifts. Zeus is still alive today and humans will never forget him.
