The Toothpick Nine

"harge!" yells Theseus, and the front line of the Greek army runs at the Turks. There were 218 soldiers at the beginning of the charge, and afterward there were only nine. For the Turks it was a total disaster! They surrendered with a white flag {many people say this is the first time it was done}. The nine that were left were Theseus, Odisus, Omusis, Thedisus, Promidisus, Iscercize, Cornelisus, and Kercus.

When they got home there was a great procession held in their honor. They feasted like kings for days. After that they got very cocky. They started to devise a plan to take Mount Olympus.

One by one the Gods were lured off the Mountain. They started a war for Ares. Athena was at a festival in Athens, Hermes was on an errand, and Poseidon was creating more sea monsters. Zeus was still on the Mountain sleeping.

Then the nine were off to take the Mountain. They reached the Heavens and took Zeus captive. They threatened to rip out his liver if anyone came close to the Mountain. Poseidon didn't hear the threat and he started to climb the Mountain, and then he heard a loud rip and a groan. They had ripped out his liver.

All of the sudden there was a flash and then a pause. Zeus' chains fell off and he killed the nine, but to commend their courage he turned them into a small piece of wood, But since they were such a pain in the neck, like a piece of food caught in your teeth, he made them into a toothpick!!!!!!!
