This iAdenture was create to help students learn how to write a presuasive speech and do a budget. They will accomplish this goal by determining which of the three animals they feel the student council should sponsor for the year. This iAdventure is targeted for 6-8 grade. The primary content area focus is writing, basic math and problem solving.

Background Information This iAdventure is a way of teaching students important concepts and skills by involving them in a storyline about themselves trying to bet Sally their rilary. The competition is to try and convince the student council to sponsor the animal they have choosen by producing a budget and a presuasive speech.
Resources Needed Internet-connected computers and the iAdventure
Assessment The students will be assessed by Comparsion Animal Worksheet, a budget and a persuasive speech. You will have a Rubic to help you assess the students' work.
Acknowledgements The iAdventure concept was developed in the Warrensburg, MO school district, as part of the "Learning with iAdventures" program. This program was funded by a Competitive Technology grant from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
