It's your first day as a network administrator
for XYZ Corporation. Your boss, Mr. Anderson, informs you that
XYZ Corp. is considering expanding its corporate offices and
plans to construct a new building on the East side of the company's
campus. Since the WAN connectivity method used to connect the
existing office building to the new building will dictate the
location of the new building's MDF and IDF's, blueprints do not
exist of the proposed building, so take at look at the sketch
of XYZ's Campus.

Since Mr. Anderson knows you are a Cisco
Certified Network Associate, he is aware that you have the skills
and training necessary to design and implement WAN technologies
necessary to successfully complete this project. Therefore, he
tells you that your first project is to analyze the drawings
provided by the architects and design a solution for providing
network connectivity between the two buildings. While budgeting
is a concern, you need to focus on providing the best
network connectivity method for the associated expenditures.
You must provide Mr. Anderson with all
the supporting documents that you use in making your decision.
You will create a multimedia PowerPoint presentation, as well
as, a formal written proposal that present and justify your proposed
solution. You will present the PowerPoint presentation and the
formal proposal to the board of directors.

technologies in a campus environment, you have two media options

and on-going), primary advantages, primary disadvantages, maintenance
issues, and future upgrade path. In conjunction with the knowledge

campus map, to assist you in your decision making process.
