Teacher Information Page

This web page should provide any information that teachers might need in order to effectively use your iAdventure. It is the only portion of your iAdventure that is written to the teacher, rather than to the students.

In this first section of the teacher page you should state some general information that is of utmost importance to a teacher who is considering using your iAdventure. What is the targeted grade range? What is the primary content area focus? About how long will the iAdventure take? These are issues that a teacher should see immediately, so he/she can decide if your iAdventure is appropriate.

Site Map
It is very helpful to provide a "clickable" map of your iAdventure site, so that a teacher can get a feel for how it works and can preview all the pages in an organized way. The table below is an example. You can change the text links in each table cell as needed. You can also add or delete rows and columns to suit the size of your iAdventure. You might consider making each of these links open the targeted page in a new browser window, so that teachers can simply close the new window to return to this page.

Background Information

An iAdventure is a way of teaching students important concepts and skills by involving them in a storyline about one or more characters (fictional or real). This space is where you should explain to teachers the connection between your iAdventure storyline and the concepts and skills that students will learn. In other words, this is your place where you make it clear what your iAdventure is all about.

When typing this section, imagine yourself as a teacher looking at your iAdventure for the first time. Does this section provide the information needed to understand the value of your iAdventure?

Curriculum Standards

It is often helpful to teachers to include a list of the Standards that your iAdventure is designed to address. These could be state standards, National Science (or Math) Standards, etc. This is particularly important to teachers who are searching for appropriate resources because they are in the process of aligning their curriculum with state standards.
