Is Our Earth In Trouble?

Dr. Dimento, a famous scientist, has recently ìwent off his rocker.î  He is spreading rumors that the earth will be inhabitable in ten short years.  People are becoming scared and life in the U.S is becoming chaotic.  Tom, who works for the NY Times, has been told by his boss to straighten this mess out by doing a detailed article about global warming and its effects.  His boss explains to him that if he straightens this mess out and calms the public, he will get a hefty bonus.  If he doesnít, he should not bother coming back.  So of course, Tom is going to do his best.  First, Tom needs some background information before he gets started.

Tom now needs to start interviewing some people.  He could interview either a climatologist or an EPA official to find out what their views are.

Knowing what Tom knows now, who would you interview?
