Thank you so much for helping me to make that decision, shells make wonderful fossils.  I am so excited to do another shell fossil.  You can never have too many shell fossils lying around.  The only problem is that I do not know which era to make the shell from.  Here in the museum, we have many different types of shells to choose from.  This is great, I can't wait to see what this fossil will look like.  Now we are ready for the next step to creating a shell fossil.  We have to decide which era to make the fossil resemble, either Paleozoic or Mesozoic.  Below you will find some web sites to research based on which era you would like the shell to come from.
