Welcome to Oceans Alive.
This iAdventure is a science adventure for
4th - 5th grade.
You will explore the ocean from the top to the bottom.
The primary focus is to give students
a look at the ocean.

Resources Needed

Computer connected to the internet.
Printer connected to the computer.
Knowledge of a Venn Diagram.
Materials for the Dioramas.
Poster board, magic markers, pens, pencils, paper and etc.
Supplies for activities described in this iAdventure.
 

Curriculum Standards

Goal 1:2 Conduct research to answer questions and evaluate information and ideas.

Communication Arts: 1. Speaking and writing standard English (including grammar, usage, punctuation, spelling, capitalization)
6. Participating in formal and informal presentations and discussions of issues and ideas.

Social Studies: 7. The use of tools of social science inquiry (such as surveys, statistics, maps, documents).

Science: 3. Characteristics and interactions of living organisms
4. Changes in ecosystems and interactions of organisms with their environments
5. Processes (such as plate movement, water cycle, air flow) and interactions of Earths biosphere, atmosphere, lithosphere, and hydrosphere.

The iAdventure concept was developed in the Warrensburg, MO. school district, as part of the "Learning with iAdventures" program.  My iAdventure was developed during a Computer Tech. class at CMSU.
