BACKGROUND INFORMATION

An iAdventure is a way of teaching students important skills by involving them in a storyline about one or more characters. (fictional or real)  In this iAdventure the students will first of all decide where their family gets to take their winter vacation.  After this decision has been made, Thad and Leah will have to make choices as to which landmarks they want to visit to learn more about  some of the symbols of our nation by looking at several web sites.  After the students have researched the information from these sites, they will make decisions to help the main characters.  They will be asked to design a logo to make a quilt square that requires the students to use at least three symbols.  Hopefully, the students will learn valuable information about the symbols of our nation upon the completion of this project.
