     Hi!  My name is Thad and I am nine years old.  I have a twin sister named Leah.  We live on a farm with our parents who own and operate a dairy.  Winter is our slowest time and usually the only time our family can get away on a vacation.  Mom and Dad say we get to play a big part in planning our vacation.  They have two rules.  The trip has to be fun and we also have to learn something.  At school, we have been studying about the symbols of our nation and some of our nation's famous landmarks.  I really want to go to Washington D.C. and see places like the White House, but my sister, Leah, has always wanted to see the Statue of Liberty and wants to go to New York.  Mom and Dad say we have to compromise, so we need your help.  The first thing we need to do is to find out more about the landmarks in Washington D.C. and New York.  Click on the links below to help Thad and Leah decide which place to choose.
