A.R. Adventures with Captain E. Magination
Teacher Information Page

Welcome to my iAdventure. An iAdventure is an interactive website that involve student research and decision making. Each choice the student(s) make lead them to a different path with various options. Although each student(s) "travel" various paths, the student(s) are responsible for learning the same information. This particular iAdventure is designed for students in grades 4-6, involving various elements of literature--specifically character, setting, and plot.

Based on students' research, they will then create a Bio Poem or Acrostic Poem, a Plot Line or Postcard depicting setting, and finally an interactive gameboard that involves the various elements of literature.

Stuents may complete this iAdventure by themselves or with a partner, depending on teacher choice.

Assessment

Assessment scoring guides and Rubiricsf for this iAdventure can be found in the iAdventure or on the links listed above. It might be easier to print a copy of each of these for the students ahead of time, rather than letting the students print a copy for themselves.

Creating Conclusions and Student Products

The culminating task of this iAdventure is to create a gameboard that incorporates character, setting, and plot. Students should be allowed the option to create the gameboard in any manner they choose as long as the gameboard is designed to meet the descriptors listed in the rubric.
