In this journey you will discover how accessing resources on the web can help in making important decisions and problem solving. This iAdventure will also require you to use all your previous acquired Microsoft Office skills to create a final product.
I know what you are thinking, "what does a mouse know about any of that?" However, don't be deceived I am a very successful mouse and have traveled the world and the Microsoft Office suites quite extensively so I am certain that together we can figure out any challenge this iAdventure might scroll at us. Now let's get busy we have a lot of traveling to do.

Just like you, I used to sit in computer classrooms waiting anxiously for my user to take a journey on the web, until I was promoted to instructor learner level and now I spend my days training others how to use a world of resources. Today is the day that you are going to get promoted, but to what?Well, what do you want to do when you grow up? What special skills, talents, and knowledge to do possess? Do you like working indoors or outdoors? Do you like working in the morning or in the evenings? Do you like to work alone or on a team? Are planning to get married and have a family? How much money will you need to earn a year to support a family?
These are important questions that you will need to answer if you would like to find a career that fits your interests and needs. It is important to discover the answers to these questions now while you are still young and can make the necessary choices in your high school years to prepare yourself for your life's work. It is never too early to plan for a successful future.


Congratulations, the day of your promotion has finally arrived! However, it will be up to you to choose the appropriate promotion to suit your individual skills, talents, knowledge, and interests. You will be to taking an interest inventory so you can figure out which career field suits you best and submit the result to your instructor. You will have a choice between a career in computer software or hardware. However, both of those career fields are very broad so you will need to select a specific job within each of those field to do your research on. A career choice is not a choice that should not be made hastily, instead it should be a decision that has been well researched and analyzed from real-world or authentic resources. Therefore, it will be a necessary for you research both career fields in order to become an expert on both. As you research, you will need to gather certain facts about each career field and summarize your finding using Microsoft Excel also state what factors lead you to your final choice.Once you have researched both fields and are certain that you can make an educated decision, you will need to make a choice between the career fields of computer software or hardware. After you have made your choice and recorded all your findings in Excel, submitted both activities 1 & 2, Excel Comparisons and Interest Inventory Tests, to your instructor, then click on the appropriate link that the bottom of this page to continue on your journey.
