Hello
students!
You are about to embark on a
strange and fascinating journey investigating a problem involving
frogs and their environment. Be sure that you take the time to
read your prompts and directions. Investigate all the websites
that are available to help you make workable decisions. These
sites were chosen because they have very useful information to
help you make decisions. Hopefully, at the end of your adventure,
you will have solved one of the dilemmas that you have come across.
Before you begin this adventure, make sure you have a pen or
pencil and a notebook.
WHAT'S
HAPPENING TO OUR FROGS?!
| Sylvia Frogsblatter is a herpetologist who has
made a startling discovery in the past year. While collecting
frog specimens and counting their populations, she noticed that
some species had become rare while others disappeared altogether!
Not only that; some of the frogs she found had extra limbs, missing
eyes and other malformations!! Your job, is to help Sylvia discover
the cause of these frog problems and find a possible solution. |

Before you begin helping
Sylvia with her investigation, you need to check out some of
the sites below and do a little research. Go HERE to print out a form to help you
keep track of each site you have visited and write a brief summary
of what information is at that site. You'll need a seperate sheet
for each of the four sites below. These sheets will be used
several times throughout your investigation and will be counted
as part of your grade so be sure to save them!
As you do research for
this adventure, each link you click on will open a new web browser
window. When you finish looking at that site, click to close
the box to return to this page.

you are going to help Sylvia conduct an investigation in California,
Wisconsin, or Minnesota. After looking at the above sites, you
