You and your partner are overwhelmed with this task after you so eagerly offered your services. The role of a storyteller is more involved than you ever imagined. You both thought a storyteller just stood up and told the story. Through your research you have discovered that the words used to write these stories are like colors used by an artist to paint a picture. Your story must include simple, colorful language. It should help the listener see, hear, smell, taste, and feel what's going on. Nerves start to fray! You begin to argue and fret about how you should begin. In order to establish peace the two of you must begin to narrow down your choices between two types of stories. Using the data collection sheet provided, you must chose one of these: fairy tale or tall tale? Which will it be? Be sure to read all prompts and directions as you go on this venture.
