The purpose of this iadventure is to help high school juniors and seniors
understand character motivation and interpretation, as well as subjective
interpretation of a complex literary work. Further, it is designed
to aid students in conducting and meeting research goals, as well organizing
said research into a well developed research paper. As the iadventure
is centered around the Shakespearean play Hamlet and the actions
of the title character, it is obviously necessary for any student
participating in the iadventure to have read the play. The iadventure
is structured loosely enough that students will be able to express individuality
and free thought on the subject of Hamlet, but not so loose that they will
feel lost or intimidated by the complex nature of the play, and of the
character.
All that is required for completion of this iadventure
is a computer for each student with internet access and word processing
capabilities. Computer time can be supplemented with hard copies
of the MLA handbook and by printing hard copies of the various secondary
research sources.
