Teacher’s Page

Dear Teachers and Various Professionals alike,
Thank you for taking the time to take a look at the iAdventure that I created. I have felt that an understanding of the world around you gives you a better understanding of yourself.

The choices that are offered for the students to learn about are snapping turtles, a desert tortoise, a leatherback sea turtle, and box turtle. Now you might want to use some of the icon’s as to create a scaffolding link in the child’s’ mind as to what they are looking for.

You are given a choice, for grading records, and a way for you to know if the students are on task and at least looking at all of the choices available. Yet keep in mind that there are two things that might alter the answers.1) Links not working due to age of the program. Now like almost everything on the web some web sites will die with time and with it the information access that was once possible. 2) The sites information link may have been updated and so the information that once was has been moved. I hope that you do not have these problems, yet as it was once said, "Nothing is as constant as change itself."

For your convenience I have placed all of the pictures of the above mentioned turtles as to assist you in your usage of this program.

Here are some some worksheets. They are questions that are a part of the quiz on two linked sites. The students are to read/ look through the sites and then answer the questions on the appropriate paper. This is more for reference that they are checking the sites*, and to provide some proof to the parents and administrators that they are using the computer time appropriately, if proof should be needed.

MARINE BIOLOGY SITE WORKSHEET        BIODIVERSITY WORKSHEET

*Now if the sites should be down due to some change then the questions can be answered the old fashion way of searching the library. Be sure to check this ahead of time as to know which way that your students will have to do the research.
