Eating Right and Staying Healthy: This iAdventure was designed for Seventh Grade Students. Eating right while building healthy bodies and strong muscles is the key. The primary focus is based on higher order thinking and decision making skills. Student will be faced with a series of dilemmas and the consequences of choosing healthy and non healthy foods. Students will also learn that many factors can affect your choices of foods such as peer pressure and family. Students will also learn that eating "junk food" from time to time, will not necessarily make them unhealthy. Like any other foods, "junk food" needs to be eaten at the proper time and in moderation. This is also a fact that students will learn.
Students will work in groups of three in the computer lab to complete this assignment. They will create a food guide pyramid of the six basic food groups. They will know the nutrition content of the food, and the calories of in-take per servant. Students will be educated with choosing the proper amount it will take to balance ones diet. They will be allowed two weeks to complete the project with the teachers assistance.

I would like to thank Stan Smith for an excellent job with teaching this program. It was very challenging, considering that I did not have any experience with creating web pages. Taking this class helped me improve my computer skills as a student at Central Missouri State University. It is motivating to know that I have created my very own iAdventure web site. I will continue to build on my computer skills and advance my knowledge in every way possible.
