Welcome to Marvella's web page! I'm an elementary education major here at Central Missouri State University. I would like to teach Health Education one day, as well as other subjects. Health is just as important as other subjects such as English, Math and Science. Obesity in children is on the rise in the United States. As a matter of fact, it is becoming an epidemic. It is up to educators as well as parents to help our children make the best possible decisions when it comes to making food choices. Making well informed thought out choices, will not only have a great impact on a child or adolescent, but it will lay the foundation for making such wise decisions in adulthood.
This iAdventure was specifically prepared for a Seventh Grade health education class, but the information in it will be of value to any one. Come and join us as we learn about the different food groups and how important it is to stay healthy and eat right. The students have some wonderful projects we would like to share with you as we strive to build strong muscles and healthy bodies.
