This is an iAdventure which is a problem solving activity in which students determine the direction and outcome of a content-rich story line, using resources available on the Internet, particularly resources providing real-world data and primary documents. The activity is designed to help students discover how the characters could use access to unlimited data and information (the Internet) to solve problems and make choices.
The student is in middle school and is given permission by their parents to pick out a computer. They must find the perfect match based on their available space, what they are allowed to spend, brand - HP or Dell, type - Laptop or Desktop, and what they are looking for in the computer. I think it is best for the students to base it on their own available space, needs and cost allowed.
Each student will make the decision themselves based on their available space at home, cost allowed, brand, and type - Laptop or Desktop, and what they want in their computer.
