RECYCLE NOW TO SAVE THE EARTH
 OR
WATCH IT DIE BEFORE YOUR EYES

What if in ten years, you look around and all the trees have disappeared.  Our water is so polluted with trash that you are no longer able to swim in the lake much less place a boat in it.  Instead of having green grass and bushes in your yard, you are only left with dirt, because with so much waste, the ground has been contaminated and nothing is able to grow.  No more gardens or parks are left.

Recycling helps the environment in many different ways.  It means that we can save many trees and as you know trees help clean the air, we breathe.  Trees house animals like birds and squirrels.  Trees also prevent mudslides from happening by keeping the dirt stronger.  One of the most important reasons why trees are important is that they give us foods and other natural resources.  Another way recycling helps the environment is that recycling keeps the local landfills or dumps from growing.  That means cleaner neighborhoods.  You do not want a dirty town or neighborhood, do you?  The question I really should ask is do you want the Earth to be covered in garbage?  I definitely don’t want the Earth to be covered with garbage.  What I am trying to say is recycling helps keep the environment and Earth clean and healthy.  If we recycle, we wont have to manufacture things as much.  You probably do not realize that when we manufacture things, we sometimes pollute the air.  You have seen the smoke stacks coming out of businesses.  You can even smell them.  Polluting the air does not help the environment it hurts it.  We do not want this to happen.  Polluting the air hurts our lungs, we will not be able to breather, and we might even get health problems from this.  Recycling helps our environment and us.

Another reason why recycling helps the environment is that it protects animals.  Recycling helps animals in the environment by keeping habitats clean and safe.  If we do not recycle, the fish or other animals, like turtles, might be stuck in plastic six-pack soda can holders and eventually die.  Can you imagine a world without animals?  Our world definitely would not be the same without animals.  Recycling helps animals and the environment.  Recycling definitely helps the environment and our future.  The future of the world depends on recycling.  If we recycle, Earth will have a brighter future.  When earth has a brighter future, we will too.  I do not know about you, but I want the world to have a great future.  Let’s do our job and recycle.  Help the future and our Home (Earth).

I am sure most of you know about what it means to recycle.  Before you go on this fascinating trip, I would like you to understand a few facts about recycling.  First, recycling is so important for all who live on Earth.  We all produce waste and our world is quickly filling up with it.  Everyday we use paper, aluminum, water, and plastics.  We just throw them in the trash and not even think about what happens to them.  We have become a disposable world.  Today we must decide how to get rid of our waste without destroying our Earth.  Tammy and Walter have been working on recycling items from school and from their homes.  They need your help to find out information on the best ways to recycle.  Click on Tammy or Walter and help them with information on recycling.
