CREATE YOUR PROJECT

Well, you are back from your research trip.  I hope you had a wonderful time and learned lots of interesting facts about the country and tribe you chose.  I am sure that it was quite an adventure living in another culture and learning their way of life.

Now it is time for you to gather all of your research worksheets and use the information to tell your teacher and fellow classmates about your exciting experience.  Please use research sheet 1 if you went to Africa and research sheet 2 if you went to South America.  Everyone will have a copy of research sheet 3.

FINAL PROJECT

Students will write a four-page report and create a powerpoint with twelve slides about the country you have chosen.  In the four page report and twelve slide powerpoint each student is to  show what they learned while doing their research.   Remember you must present your presentation to your teacher and classmates.

Point of focus should be:

*What type of society is the tribe you have chosen is?
*What are some of the traits of their culture?
*Describe the climate and vegetation of the country where the tribe lives.
*
Describe some of the components of their culture such as symbols, language, values, beliefs,
  norms, and material culture.
*
Describe their education, language, religions, and settlement patterns.

**Note to students:  Your research sheets should have all of the information to complete your final project.
