PERU

Peru is a beautiful country with many different native (indigenous) groups or tribes.  Many of them still live as they did thousands of years ago and hold dear to their customs.

Now it is time for you to find out what type of homes they live in and what materials are their homes made of.  Research the types of food they eat, if they are hunters or gatherers, and describe the climate and vegetation.  What are some of their cultural traits and components of their culture such as symbols, language, values, material culture?  What kind of animals live in the area?  Describe their education, religion and rituals, and family relationships.  Follow them and find out how they get from one place to another.

Decide on one of the following tribes:  Collect information for Research worksheet #3.

*Bora
*Witoto
*Yaminawa`

If you decide that you are not interested in researching one of the tribes of Peru listed you may choose your own.  If you do so, remember to complete the research worksheet.
