Your research has drawn to an end, and it's time to write Lou's article.  Your "source" has told you that s/he is responsible for Bob Sheldon's death.  All the evidence is in your hands, but the Greaser and Soc world is a tense and sometimes complicated place.  How will you let the people of Oklahoma learn about the world of the Greaser or Soc?

For this step of your iAdventure, you will need to complete Guide 4 of your research packet.  Don't forget that you will have to visit every link and collect information.

Different formats for newspaper articles exist.  You will need to investigate information about each format before jumping in with both feet.  Discover the best way to write a lead for a newspaper article.  (It is very different from a five paragraph essay!)  Once your article is complete, it will need to be typed in the correct format in Word.  You will also put your ad (from the propaganda unit) with your article for a layout.

Chapter 2 Basic Newswriting

At www.t-pub.com anyone can view and download thousands of instructional manuals.  For our journalism activity, view the relevant sites, collect the necessary data, and then practice what you've learned.

Please realize, this is, in a sense, an iBook.  The pages have been copied for you to use as a tool.  You may, under no circumstances, use any of the words provided as your own.  (The same is true for all of the sites you are visiting.)  You must use quotations for word-for-word copying.

Also, you need to realize that I've only linked the parts relevant to our project.  Some pages continue on to the next link, and some pages' information start lower down on the page.  You will have to read!

Don't forget to fill out Guide 4 as you progress through each site.
