Background Information Prior to beginning the iAdventure students will choose a male or female character. The male character is Zach. The female character is Lola. The use of male and female characters is used to emphasize that careers are not gender specific. Zach and Lola are single adults who have just completed the education necessary to pursue a chosen (assigned) occupation.
The setting for the story is Raytown, Missouri. Raytown was selected, so lifestyle choices will be appropriate to the community students are a part of. The iAdventure will take place in the current year the curriculum is being taught in, since live data regarding pricing of housing and transportation will be gathered using the Internet. The time span will be looking at cost for month regardless of the time required to purchase the item.
