Background Information
This iAdventure is geared towards second grade students in the subject area of Science. Students get to explore the solar system with the character Artie the Alien as he tries to find which planet he and his family should move to. Students will learn about the many characteristics of the different planets in our solar system. They will help Artie by researching the planets and using their research to make an informed decision. After completing the iAdventure, they will create two final products using what they learned. The first project will be a model of the solar system constructed out of candy. The second project will be a planet postcard. Students will write to a friend or family member persuading them to visit a particular planet.
