Hi, I'm Lizzie! I am 14 years old and in the eighth grade. I attend Maple Woods Middle School. I am very involved in school. I sing in the choir, play basketball, play volleyball, and play softball. I love school! In and out of school I have four best friends: Heather, Katie, Jessica, and Lisa.
So here's the dilemma, the five of us want to do something this Friday night, but we can't make a decision. We have two options. We can either: 1) have a slumber party at Lisa's house or 2) go to a high school party.
There are a couple of reasons why we want to go to the slumber party. First off, we all go to school together and know each other. Second, we know that we will probably just hang out and do relaxed activities. We also have a couple of reasons why we don't want to go to the slumber party. First, it's nothing new to us; we've had about a million slumber parties. I am also nervous because of something Katie told me. She told me that this girl named Shannon is going to be there. Well, Shannon doesn't like me. She has told people at school that I like her boyfriend Matt. I totally do not like Matt; we aren't even friends! What if I get to Lisa's house after Shannon does and she's there talking bad about me to my friends? I just don't know what I'd do! Should I go there anyway?
We have thought about some questions in regards to the high school party. If we go there, will we even fit in? What kind of activities will the high school students be doing there? I have heard that high schoolers drink and smoke. Another thing is that my parents don't want me to go, but it sounds like it'd be a lot of fun. Do you think I should just go and see what's going on?
