Genetically Engineered Foods
Parents in a Missouri school district are concerned about the possible availability of genetically modified foods in their school cafeterias. The School Board is vaguely aware of the concerns surrounding biotechnology and has set up a committee to study the issue. The committee is composed of Sophie Hernandez (a parent) and John Pavao (a school official).
The School Board has requested that the committee study the issue and bring a recommendation to the next Board meeting as to whether or not genetically engineered foods should be available in their school cafeterias.
