Vaccines are given by a shot or a liquid taken by mouth. They are made by weak viruses that help our body fight germs. The immune system practices on the weak germs so when the big germs come they can kill them before the kid becomes ill. The antibodies that are made by the immune system stay in the kid to protect him or her from real disease germs.
They have a new chicken pox vaccine for people.
