MAMMALS AND YOU

We, as humans, have helped and hurt the planet. We have helped it by inventing ways to make plants grow. We have also made ways to save the endangered species by putting them on the endangered species list and putting them into a conservation plan.

We have also hurt the Earth alot by polluting it and throwing trash on the ground and putting it in a dump. We have also polluted the air with our factories and our aerosol cans. We have also hurt it by going to war and inventing the horrid atom bomb.

We have affected mammals by keeping them as pets and domesticating them, like cats and dogs. We have also affected mammals by eating them and hurting them. We have eaten animals like cows, pigs, lambs, and others.

Some mammals have helped us in ways they don't even know. They have helped us by giving us ideas of things like camouflage and other things that we use every day.

In the classroom we have many mammals such as degus (which recently had seven babies) rats, mice, hedgehogs, and many others. We try to keep the animals surrounding as close as possible.
