Trans-Pecos Ratsnake

A calm little snake

The trans pecos ratsnake is a reptile, because if it wasn't it would not be a snake would it? The trans pecos ratsnake is a constrictor. "Constrictor" means that it squeezes it's prey. The trans paces ratsnakes is not a poisonous snake, so don't worry.

In the wild the trans pecos ratsnake eats mice, eggs, bats, and sometimes it may eat small birds. It lives alone, but on cold nights it may bunch up in groups. The trans paces ratsnake lives in the northern part of New Mexico, southwest part of Texas, and southeast part of Mexico. These are areas of deserts.

It's young are born from eggs.
