Ball Python

The ball python's scientific name is Python regius. The ball python's phylum is chordate. It belongs to class reptile.

It's geographic range is Africa.The ball python's habitat is grasslands, savannas, & wooded plains. In the classroom it's habitat is a 20 gallon glass tank with wood chips. In the wild the ball python will eat mice, rats, and other rodents. Some hawks and eagles can eat the ball python.

Ball pythons can live up to 20 or 25 years. All pythons live alone. A mother ball python can lay 6 or 7 eggs. She will stay with the eggs for up to 3 months.
