The milk snake is found in an area around Sinoloa, Mexico, which is its geographical range. The habitat is trees that have very rough branches and very little leaves on them. The milk snake eats rodents such as possums, rats, squirrels, and others. The predators of the snake is the hawk, bald eagle, and sometimes bigger snakes.
The classroom habitat of the milk snake is a tank with bedding in it and a bowl of water. It eats baby mice in the classroom.
The snake usually lives from 3 to 21 years. When it lays eggs, it lays them in April and lays 10 to 31 eggs usually. Then they hatch in June. Usually at least one dies.
When it sheds its skin will change to a dark pink. The snake jerks his head back when you make sudden movements toward the snake.
